Beware of FHP parked at Western lake

New posts
I don't speed, ticket free for years and years...

Its the fact that when Tourists are speeding, you can't find a traffic cop anywhere. Now there gone and traffic cops are all over the area.

So you're supporting speeding on that bridge whose shoulder is also the bike path there which is literally only inches away from the roadway. However, I applaud anyone who has ever gotten even close to the speed limit there.

No, I believe in chilling out on Scenic 30A at all times. But sometimes even locals need a reminder when the limit drops so drastically, and I appreciate our good people helping each other out.

Hundreds of motorcycles on 98 today.

No FHP or WCSO in site.

Speed trap is M to F, 8 to 5 folks...

Coming back from Miami yesterday FHP all down 10 in full force, normally 3 to 4 Bay County sherriffs on 79 and 98 at all yimes, not a one.

The again this AM around 9.

Goes from 40 to 25mph.

Great spot. I'd fight it in court.

The 40 should be 35 than the slowing distance would be reasonable.

Wide open stretch of road with easily visible reduced speed and speed limit signs that have been in place for a long time. Exactly what grounds would you be using to fight it?

Don't agree with the speed limits there, just curious what possible defense there is to justify speeding there.

Glad we agree its a "trap"!

Let's use the said " trap" and State Dollars during Spring Break and Summer in 2015!

John, I appreciate your posts but this is a dangerous area to be speeding and or not paying attention going through there at fast speeds ANYTIME of the year. Just get over it and slow down!

I think John wants it enforced all year. Currently, they only seem to ticket locals in the off season.
