Black Eyed Peas, Cornbread, Greens At Your Place??

New posts
since my mother is too far and she's usually the one that cooks nyd meal, i prepared the meal myself.

spinach/feta stuffed pork tenderloin w/ byron butt rub. it was the best i've ever cooked.
bep's soaked overnight and cooked in crock-pot.
kale with olive oil, balsamic vinaigrette, garlic, ginger. won't use vinaigrette next time.
the only thing that disappointed me was that i didn't have my mom's made from scratch cornbread. i used jiffy, and that just ain't the same. when i do jiffy again i'm going to add some orange marmalade, sugar, pecans and cranberries. and cook it in a fish muffin tin.
and lotsa chardonaaay!
Recipe please.

BTW tonight I'm making old-school Bolognese sauce. Craving some pasta!

Toots, you just made me drool. That is food porn.

Ok..I'll admit it, I opened a CAN of BEP's on NY's Day. :yikes:Didn't wanna cook much. But tonight, I made FRIED pork chops, mashed potatoes, cream gravy, salad and rolls. It was well worth the wait.

Okay, enough food porn and spending most of my day cooking and washing dishes. Gotta turn back to raw oatmeal with fruit for breakfast, homemade veg soup for lunch, and "dump" chicken for dinner.

"Dump" Chicken
1 package of chicken breasts
Paprika
Dried parsley
1 can low-fat cream of mushroom soup
Brown rice
Fresh broccoli

Put chicken in a casserole dish. Dump a can of mushroom soup on top. Garnish with paprika and parsley. Cook at 350 for an hour. Serve with brown rice and steamed broccoli.

BR--this doesn't sound near as good as your BBQ Shrimp. I think I dreamed about that last night. Probably because I saw a little blip on Food Network about that place in NOLA..Pasquale..something...can't remember the name right now. Anyway, I MUST cook that shrimp again--soon. I'll pass on this dish.:wave:

I know! I could probably live on southern skillet cornbread with butter. made it last night. had two big pieces, along with dinner. yikes. I don't make it much because I will eat the whole thing within a few days for breakfast , lunch and dinner.
