Cape San Blas

New posts
Indian Pass is our favorite getaway. love staying in a comfy vacation house in the midst of so much natural beauty. we do almost nothing while there. we enjoy an entire beach to ourselves, take a trip into town (apalachicola) at least once for shopping and dining, go to the Raw Bar for oysters and steamed shrimp, drive out on cape san blas, and basically stay at the house cooking, reading, napping. there are plenty of opportunities for renting a boat, fishing, biking, etc.

we have driven out on St George to check it out. It's nice enough, if you like more development and activity. not our cup of tea though.

have funn!

Our group vacationed there last year. It was beautiful. The beaches were quiet (until we got there) and beach front rentals were very affordable. The one thing no one mentioned was the skeeters! It could have been the time of year we were there (end of June) but literally the last 4 nights of our stay, we were held hostage inside. You could not go out at night -- get eaten alive!

oh yes. the skeeters. we have camped there, I think it was August. eaten alive, I'm telling you. not sure what it is like in July. typically, we stay indoors starting in July anyway, and come out only at night. even in sowal. too hot!!!
