I have a theory that your salary goes up in proportion to the amount of time you have to wear pantyhose. Like it's kind of a compensation for having to wear the nastiest things fashion ever gave to us.

Which probably explains why I've always been miserably paid. I refuse to wear hose! Bare legs RULE!
At my old job at the PR agency we came to work in sweats. Literally. And if we had an event or had to take an editor out, ect. we would dress up. That was the beauty of having Juicy as a client. My dad almost DIED when he saw the way I dressed.

Now I dress up. I'm in heels everyday. Never really hose though. Actually...never. It's nice to dress up a little though. I do miss wearing jeans though.

You know what will feel funny? Wearing jeans to the beach. I've never been there when it's cool enough to put them on.

Oh I hate wearing pants. Ask the other FUNNS...I'm a denim skirt kinda gal. And my dad will throw blankets over me if they are too short! He always tells me to go put some clothes on! :funn:

Only a Dad will say that.
It's classic. Everytime. It never fails.

Due to a transit strike yours truly is walking 2.5 miles to work. In heels and hose. In freezing rain.

Merry Christmas.
You know, somehow I enjoy walking in NYC. I don't know why, especially when I obsess over whether or not I'll get a parking spot right by my building.

My husband's boss is one of the top 50 wealthiest Americans (according to Forbes), and the other day he walked in the snow from his high-rise office building (that he owns) to Grand Central Station. He said that cabs charge too much because they have to drive farther than one would have to walk due to all of the one-way streets.

Yeah...I'll walk most of the time. It's how you have to get around. Cabs are just exorbitant these days. Unless I'm going out to dinner, it's raining really hard or I'm in a major rush I'll walk it or take the subway. I used to take cabs everywhere...it just adds up a lot.

And usually it's quicker to walk.

That's exactly what he said - way faster.
