Tough week for poor Bob!! Not only did the politicos fail to pass sweeping gun reform legislation, the test tube of tough gun restrictions that is Massachusetts seems to have yielded a most sound acceptance of his null hypothesis. But he did have a minor win with the ricin mailing redneck.

I'm not sure what "a sound acceptance of his null hypothesis" means. Please clarify. While I think the name calling that this thread has generated has been unfortunate, to say the least, I, for one, admire Bob and LS for the passion they contributed to this subject. If you all want to live in a stinking stew of gun violence, I guess you will get your wish. For those of you who might not know, Lucifer Sam, one of the most intelligent and humorous characters on this website, has been permanently banned because of his courageous defense of a sane approach to gun violence. I don't know if Bob has met the same fate, but they are both great spirits that have contributed immensely to the wit and intelligence on this website. I guess the gun nuts win.

He was banned because of post #148. It's not the first time and he knows the rules. They are clearly posted. Resorting to name calling and personal attacks is not a sign of humor or intelligence. Yes the gun nuts like DestinDreamer are winning for the moment but it won't last. These redneck bubbas have been duped by the NRA and gun manufacturers for too long. Big guns and lots of ammo will never make up for a small penis or a simple mind. They don't realize what fools they are. The 2A will be be repealed some day and we will be a better society when it happens. Until that day we will continue to see the death and destruction all these freedom bullets cause. I haven't visited this site in the last few years and now learning that LS has been banned I remember why I left. Bob, hang in there, you may be one of the few sane voices left.

I believe knives are made to cut but they can be used to kill, cars are a mode if transportation but they can kill and guns are made to hunt or protect but they can kill. Can we agree that people are the problem? Lets start there agree or not. One word answer. Then we can all debate on how to solve the people problem.

No. I rather like to see the subterranean members get their due. I carried a .45 on every mission I went on for two years. I support the ban of assault type weapons. I think NRA actions are totally overblown. I do support the 2nd Amendment and all it stands for regarding normal American citizens. There can be gun regulations that are both acceptable and needed as far as gun ownership is concerned without violating the intent and purpose of the 2nd Amendment.

The intent was to form militias to protect the country, not give everyone permission to arm themselves "just because". The second amendment has been used by interest groups to commit one the biggest frauds in this country's history.
