I have personally gone into local stores and in surrounding counties and I am the only one wearing a mask. Other customers actually look at me with a ____eating grin (something my grandmother use to say). A SEG is a disapproving stare btw. Not to be intimidated I put on an extra mask that I always keep in my pocket that I put on top of the one I have when there is no one wearing a mask but me. I think it drives them a little crazy as they watch me put on the 2nd mask. So far nobody has said anything but if they do I am ready. I speak their language pretty good :)

You’re forced to wonder if the maskless masses even bother to wash their hands.

I read this and my first thought is “does this person actually think all of this?” Then I remember A very likely analogy. Well worth the minute watch until the end, it explains a lot. Take care, mask up, be safe. you Uniter you. Gracias!

Texas and Mississippi are lifting restrictions just in time for a rapid rise in new strains of Covid infections before tourist season.
Just a coincidence these are the same two Republican states that are having problems supplying drinking water to their citizens.

Vaccines for sale?

After his wealthy Florida Keys enclave got early vaccines, ex-Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner gave $250,000 to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis

Former Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner made a $250,000 campaign contribution to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis last week after seniors in the uber-wealthy Florida Keys enclave where Rauner owns a home were among the first in the state to receive COVID-19 vaccinations in January.

Rauner’s connection to the favorable treatment first was reported Wednesday by the Miami Herald, which obtained a memo the management of the exclusive Ocean Reef Club sent to residents noting that its medical center had vaccinations for residents age 65 and over while most Floridians struggled to access the shots. DeSantis has used the state’s vaccination program to open special distribution sites in select communities while skipping state and local vaccine registration logs, various Florida news outlets have reported.

He’s a lying trump mini-me.

Hospital, county contradict DeSantis’ claim about role in Florida Keys residents' vaccines | Miami Herald

After Gov. Ron DeSantis claimed “the state was not involved” in arranging for more than 1,200 Keys residents in the wealthy Ocean Reef community to get accelerated access to the COVID-19 vaccine in January, both Baptist Health South Florida — which supplied the doses — and Monroe County have contradicted his claims, saying the distribution was authorized by the state.

Texts show county commissioner, wealthy developer said vaccination drive for wealthy ZIP codes would give Florida governor exposure for potential 2022 reelection - CNNPolitics

Text messages show that Manatee County, Florida, Commissioner Vanessa Baugh and developer Rex Jensen said a planned vaccination drive largely serving a wealthy, gated community may give Gov. Ron DeSantis "exposure here" ahead of a potential 2022 reelection campaign.

"Gov said he might show up," Jensen, the real estate developer of Lakewood Ranch, said in a text message that was sent before the vaccination drive began. "Should try to see if that would help him get exposure here."
