Creating new threads

New posts

Thanks John!

Tangents are normal and a few off topic comments here or there are not a problem. Just try to be aware and use a little common sense.

In the lounge anything goes and it doesn't matter where the topic heads. However if anyone feels differently, feel free to steer the conversation if you like.

This is from an earlier thread:

BUT - I do not want all the funn removed from the other forums.

And Miss Silly Kitty - I locked the real estate thread because of the intitial post not because of your comment! And I am not going to change someone's name because you ask me to - that is up to that person. If someone asked me to change your name to Miss Doggy, I would not do so.

BR - the reason I suggested starting a new thread is because you posted a recipe that would be buried in a thread about something else. Why not start a new thread for the recipe with an appropriate subject so others can enjoy it? Now wouldn't that be special?

Okay Daddy-O...I hear you, but if you had read ALL the posts, you would have seen DARLENE pleading for you to change her nickname!!!! Go look in the lounge (where all Silly Kitties belong!) and I will prove it!!! It's okay, Miss Kitty escaped The Retreat...I thought maybe the mention of robbing a bank was "a little off tangent"!!!!!

BTW...Thanks for all you do....and I love Miss Silly Kitty!!!!

You're right. I just didn't really know how to proceed when responding to a question or comment unrelated to the thread title, but now I know it's okay to start a new thread.

Sometimes when I'm in a hurry, it's easy to just check all new posts and respond, not noticing the topic. I'll have to try to be more careful about that in the future. Or being in a hurry and not taking the time to explain the reason behind my comments, such as when I didn't explain why I didn't have a good experience at a particular restaurant.

Bottom line: I guess we should all be more careful now that we have been reminded that even though the board is entertainment for many of us, there are strict rules beyond just being polite and not using offensive language.

easy, beach runner, you asked, i delivered, searching via google. the video is a gas, i think. and the editorial is pretty concise(i've never seen i laid out so well) and i did say "some don't apply here"

There are not strict rules, just suggestions.

I suggest you not worry so much.
Before you know it you'll be using another username. :floor:

Kurt, I want a new user name!

1. Do you want to change it for me? ;-)
2. Do I wait until April Fool's Day?
3. Do I reincarnate myself?
4. Do I do as some others have done and clone myself into 2 or more posters? :funn:

Rita, you gave me an idea. I think I'll start a new thread. Please come to my party. ;-)
