Edgewater Beach Stop Work Order

From what I understand, this was one of two coastal dune lakes in the Miramar/Destin area that development closed off long ago, so protecting it as a dune lake is pointless now - the ship of destruction beyond repair sailed years ago. I believe the other is up by Holiday isle.

Go to the Walton County website and watch the video of last weeks BCC mtg. And listen to Ms. Harris explanation in her own words. She relied solely upon on her "close friend" at DEP rather than the appropriate and required permits, per the emergency order which she herself referenced before the BCC last week. The stop work order had been issued hours prior to that meeting on the same day. This is more than a bit bewildering coming from the so called champion of government transparency with all her anti good ole boy rhetoric. I hope Ms. Harris herself can provide an explanation , as opposed to thru her attorneys. Since currently she is still a sitting Walton County Planning Commissioner, despite having long standing and active litigation against Walton County.
