Early reports are it's from previous fires to the east but it is getting very smoky in SoWal - you can even see it on the beachcam.
Smoke is very heavy in Destin. Going over the Destin bridge, you can't even see norreigo point. I am in Crystal Beach and the smoke smell is VERY strong. Called the fire department and they think it is the Freeport fire.
Smoke is so heavy in Sandestin you can't see the tops of the buildings.
Does anyone know if there is a new fire???

I just got off the phone with the info line & they said it was from fires in GA
, that there are no fires in Walton County today. If it's coming that far, then it's crazy there

I heard that the smoke from those fires in SE GA and NE FL, were blowing smoke all the way to Miami, the other day.
