Ok. I am a wuss.
Most of you probably wear flip flops most of the year. Me, not so much. I wait until the temps are at least 75. I can't help it, I have cold feet. But, when I do don them the first few times, they rub my toes raw in between my big toe and next toe. Eventually, I get toughened up, but...ouch. Am I the only one?:idontno:

I know bunches of people who wear their flops year round, but my feet get cold so I don't. Wuss here!!!

It does take a few days or so to get adjusted to flip flops. I really do prefer a nice pair with a little support and thick sole - for comfort all day. I do prefer leather or cloth upper. There are many good brands.

I've started wearing them a few times a week, so I guess I slowly build up to flip flop summer wear. Sorry but the pedicure procedure has not been performed as of yet. My toenails are plain - I let them take a breather in the winter - but other than that, the feet do need some work but aren't that bad. or maybe I'm just completely detached from reality.

I go barefoot at home year-round. When our dog sees me put shoes on, she gets into her crate because she knows I'm going somewhere.

BR, my Rufus is the same way--he'll watch me getting dressed or changing clothes, and he's fine with until he sees me reach for a pair of shoes. Unfortunately, he's not as well trained as Pepper and, instead of going to a crate, he goes BERSERK!

Personally--although those of you who know me know that I LOVE me some SHOES! The higher the heel, the better!--I actually prefer to go barefoot EVERYWHERE! The house, the mailbox, the beach... sometimes, when I can get away with it, even the office!

I've always been that way--it was always a fight to keep shoes on me as a kid, and I've been roaming around Seagrove barefoot all my life. But, when I do wear 'em, I like Havianas. They come in lotsa pretty colors.

As far as the discomfort around the toes... well, hell. Have you SEEN some of the shoes I DO run around town in? :idontno::lol::wave:

Oh, you've said you love your pretty high heels. I used to wear them all the time too -- one advantage of having a husband who is 6'10". But running killed my feet and my knees. Every time I walk by the shoe department at Neiman's, I drool at those beautiful shoes.

Barefoot in the office. Back when I could wear heals, sometimes I'd kick them off for a quick trip from my office to the computer lab.

Flip Flops

I have to say one thing about moving here is I hardly ever wear anything but flip flops. I do have some Yellow Box and they are very comfortable. I used to the issue with the thing between the toes and now I know why. My hairdresser had on a pair the other day that looked so comfortable. She told me they were called Merrell and she stands on her feet all day. She loves those flip flops.
