Most of the hotels in the French Quarter are back up and running. If you want mega-hotel, the Marriot and Sheraton on Canal Street are back. Almost all the restaurants you might have heard of/been to before are open and doing fine;notable exceptions-Mr B's, Commander's Palace and Camelia Grill, all of which will reopen eventually.

We were only in the quarter/warehouse district for about 3 hours. I had to take Little IBD to see her grandparents up in French Settlement. Mr. IBD went to West Bank to look at property. I PROMISE that we will have a cocktail in NO soon. I am going back in Nov. for the National Assoc, of Realtors convention so maybe we can hook up then.....??????
