The Senate passed the immigration reform bill. It's the House of Representatives, which is run by John Boehner, which has not brought up any bill for a vote. Harry Reid's 300-whatever bills don't come into play here.
Like this one?Lets forget that for a moment and concentrate on getting still Senate majority leader Reid to bring up any of the over 300 bills sitting in the Senate, one of which I am told, is an immigration bill from the House. On second thought, never mind, the Republicans will correct that in January and then the President can veto those he don't like and we will all know where he stands.
In an enormous package of tax breaks that will cost the U.S. Treasury $450 billion, and which includes things like "benefits for racehorse owners," the Republicans cut out tax benefits for millions and millions of people who actually need the money, because they are mad that the tired, poor, huddled masses yearning to be free might come to America and use these tax breaks, because they are poor.
Often the difference between the two political parties is exaggerated but here is a pretty good case of Republicans acting like heartless shills for the rich. How stereotypical.

Harry Reid is on board with that deal. Remember, just because he acts like a liberal, he does know his true bosses. Corporate 'Murrica. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/tax-showdown-congress-nears-deal-to-avoid-hikes-obama-vows-veto/ar-BBfRAZR
How do other countries handle illegal immigration?
Under the Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony, punishable by up to two years in prison. Immigrants who are deported and attempt to re-enter can be imprisoned for 10 years. Visa violators can be sentenced to six-year terms. Mexicans who help illegal immigrants are considered criminals.
The law also says Mexico can deport foreigners who are deemed detrimental to “economic or national interests,” violate Mexican law, are not “physically or mentally healthy” or lack the “necessary funds for their sustenance” and for their dependents.
