Can anyone tell me how I-10 is between Mobile and New Orleans? Are there any detours or delays? I'm headed down this weekend.

All I know is that they just opened the I-10 bridge over Lake Ponchartrain, so there's no longer a detour there.
Taking a kid down to Tulane since classes start next week? Some acquaintances of ours have a child who decided to return to Tulane (he's a freshman and was only there one day). It was a tough decision for them.
