I got dermatitis from living in Boston in the month of January (so cold as in negative temps and dry), trying to convince daughter to stay at MIT. I realized why she didn't like it after living there that long. It wasn't just the weather. Anyhow, my dermatologist prescribed Triamcinolone. It took about three months for the scaly patches to go away. After that, he suggested OTC Cetaphil moisturizing cream.
