Much like pro-drill candidates probably won't highlight that as part of their resume, it is not particularly popular to highlight a pro-trial bar record. The lions share of his donations are from trial attorneys, so using your logic on Ms. Coley he is much more in the pocket for trial attorneys than he is for drilling.
Thank you for getting me fired up to support Ms. Coley, I am going to be doubling my donation to her and will for now say goodbye. My next politics post will wait until Nov. when I can gloat over the fresh defeat of Mr. Pleat and the seating of House Majority leader John Boehner. You guys can keep telling yourselves that every one else agrees with you or is stupid. Lets see how that works out for you.
I just wonder how many trial lawyers you actually know...and if you had a huge case with an insurance company over a traffic accident or a medical mal practice or a drug that had harmed your child..who you would call.
To blame trial lawyers or doctors for the health care situation is short sighted; to label all trial lawyers as "bad" is the same as generalizing about real estate agents, journalists and used care salespersons...we all do it in moments of sarcasm--but, hopefully, we apply more than sarcasm when making important decisions.
For any native born Floridian not to see the potential risk in any oil drilling off the shores of Florida is worse than short sighted--and to think that just because drilling would occur in our waters, that we would somehow benefit more than others, is uninformed.
For the politicians who are supporting oil drilling off our coast, they are obviously thinking of something other than the well being of the state and our citizens. IMO Rep. Coley needs to do her homework and think about the well being of the area she represents, more than she needs to be thinking about how she will get re-elected.
