One of the girls in my wedding will be about 5 months (?) pregnant by the time the day rolls around. I need suggestions for where to find a dress for her! All the girls are wearing black and are picking their own dresses, I'm only requesting that they be around tea-length, that's about it.

I've checked out A Pea in the Pod and Mimi Maternity. Anywhere else?

Those are about the best places to start. I just went to the Nordstrom site because they have an extensive dress collection, and I see two longer dresses on there that might work. There are lots and lots of maternity dresses, but the tea length thing in maternity is going to be tough.

You might want to consider finding a seamstress to make her dress. Check the paper in the classifieds, or in a church bulletin. There are alot of very talented people out there that do this for a living and I think it could be a less expensive route than trying to find a "formal" mat. dress.

thanks for the suggestion. I think we may have found one online already!

A close relative of mine was six months pregnant when she got married. They waited until January because their income taxes would have been a lot higher if they had gotten married prior to January for reasons I can't remember. So she bought a size 18 wedding dress and got the alterations person at the bridal shop to cut it way down except in the tummy area. She looked gorgeous. Those alterations ladies at bridal shops can work miracles!

For some reason, I feel like David's Bridal had some maternity dresses for bridesmaids. ???

Where are the rest of the girls getting their dresses?

You can almost always buy floor length and have it hemmed!!!

You also might be able to find a dress with an empire waist - a style that might be a good fit and also very flattering for that particular stage of her pregnancy.

EXACTLY what we're doing. And, it is an empire waist, so I think it will be perfect.

they do, but they're not very cute!

They're all picking out their own, so they're not coming from one place.
