Nice!
My mom used to get all up about not walking in the yard for the first day or so so she could enjoy the winter wonderland before we kids tromped all over it with footprints, sleds and snowmen. Hated that as a kid, but i see her point now...

Wishing for snow here in stockbridge ("The STKs") , but I know it won't come :(

 I remember rolling all our snowman parts, etc. in the back yard and then finishing it off in the front so as to not mess up the snow.

Peapod - Fantastic house!

It sleeted in DFW area. Hundreds of accidents.
What is the worst here is the record low temps. We're not use to that! This morning at 7:00 the wind chill was -1 and temp of 16 or something like that. TX isn't ready for this! Supposed to be upper 50s or 60 this weekend though. :idontno: Go figure........

You guys just don't have the coats or clothes for that kind of temp. It's hard to play in the snow when all you have is a coat for 50 degree weather!

OMG, that's the best pic of Rudy yet, JohnRudy! I'm OD'ing on cute. Want a Border Collie now!

Last winter I was driving at 3 in the morning to go hunting and I ran into this weird stuff and I couldn't figure out what it was. I had my face right up by the windshield trying to see. For a while, I thought it was ash falling from the sky. Took me a while to figure out it was snow. I felt like an idiot.

What a bust! Sleet at lunchtime. Then enormous chunks of snow for about 1/2 hour. Went to work- 2 appointments 'cuase everyone had canceled for the weather. It rained all afternoon, then started some kind of funky mix as I was leaving and the roads were really slick. I was driving Bdarg's big pickup, 'cause I thought he was doing the kid chauffering and would need the 4WD- pickups are the pits in the snow! We will end up with an inch- MAYBE. Mermaid got all the snow!!

My son is blaming the non-snow event on the fact that I went to the store last night- I jinxed us. :bang:

I've been shoveling since about 4:30 pm and I'm still not done with the entire driveway, but I'm calling it a night. I'm way overdue on the cocktail hour.

It's very beautiful and peaceful. Reminds me of the Robert Frost poem.

...the only other sound's the sweep of easy wind and downy flake....

We're gettin a ton of it!! Love it!

I'd love it more if the hubby didn't work nights!. I'm headed out to shovel now ('cause I forgot to get my "how to use the snow blower" lesson over the weekend.) At least it looks light and fluffy - might not be too bad to shovel!
