Congrats on that 60 pounds. Impressive.
I've added a few staples to my routine in the past year and it seems to have paid off (maybe even in the things the doctor checks like cholesterol and blood pressure which were fine but they were very fine last check up a month ago). I eat the whole oatmeal or an oatmeal muffin from the cookbook "In the Kitchen with Rosie" (Oprah's former cook). I put cranberries or rainens and lots of walnuts (good for you) in both. Sometimes flax, too. The muffins end up being about 100 calories, good for you, and somewhat filling. The muffins are small and dense (about half the size of regular muffins) and I usually have another snack in the morning, but they work for about 2-3 hours and they are so good for you. Also, I think peanut butter sandwiches on whole wheat bread is a good snack. I have copies of our 'In the kitchen with Rosie" cookbook at both of our cottage rentals, along with other cookbooks.
Instant oatmeal (I keep some instant oatmeal packs in the office and just add hot water sometimes)
Whole wheat wasa bread is great as a base for anything or as a quick snack by itself (about 30-49 calories).
Can of tuna fish
Greek no fat yogurt sold by Trader Joes -- it's amazing and I use some of that artificial sugar it's rich, creamy and about $3-$4 a package (about 3 servings).
