WTF?

Get through the first week of everyone wanting to be your friend- it is overwhelming. I have found FB and love it- a fantastic way to keep in touch with my out of town friends, family, and current friends. I am so much better at keeping up with people I have grown up with, worked with, and love!

Not a week has gone by where I have not been happily surprised by somebody that saw my name on another's FB, and a really cool friend "re-connection" was made. Not to mention how much fun it is to see old and new pictures!

I just remembered the best part- seeing my friend list everyday makes me smile. I am blessed to have made 44 years worth of friendships with some really neat people. And now I have a way to keep up with some of them.

Well put. That's why I like it, too.

Also...thanks to Facebook there will be a reunion gig of my old high school band in the upcoming months. This was pre-mullet, but who knows what might hit the stage! What ever it is will be a blast!

This is the kind of stuff FB is great for!

I've seen your friend list. There's more people on it than there are residents of many towns! 762 to be exact. You are one popular chick!!

Uhmmm...that is usually me! you are my Sowal / Facebook cross reference guide!

Lol, you are not the only one, but you do it more than the others.

I grew up in a small town - where my parents still live with the same phone number and address and where all past schools, employers, friends etc. still send mail. My college updates my address faster than the US post office, has a permanent email forwarding system, a secure online alumni directory, and a classmate setup a yahoo group that emails everyone group emails, so I am as "found" as I need to be!

Facebook, myspace, etc. can become TMI far too easily and those pictures are there forever - as some job seekers are finding out!

I never take pics that I would be ashamed to put anywhere, that way you just don't have to worry about it. Plus my lil' scooterbug, you are not nearly as old as I am and you will be surprised at the people over the years you sadly lose touch with.

FB will never compare to SoWal but I have had funn reconnecting with old friends. How funny to find out that one of my dorm gulls knew SJ! Small world!

Many old photos are posted and like Jdarg and BB, I have talked to people that I have not seen in at least 15 years, or more!!

I do get poked and superpoked. Chat some and get/give flair!

The funniest thing to me is that non-sowallers probably think that I dont know how to spell funn!!

I got over the poked thingy very quickly and just ignore those, I don't pass out any of the other stuff either anymore as I ran out of places to put it. I do the lil' green thingy just 'cause I feel like I might be saving some rainforest or something.

tell us how many friends you have on that fb.

75% are former students. They're the ones who got me on there to begin with.

A bunch are people I went to college with, either in 1989-1993, or 2007 to present.

I was involved with Young Life forever, as a leader in 4 different areas and as an employee at a national camp. Those folks got on facebook.

Then my high school friends started showing up.

Now my 50 gazillion cousins, cousins-in-law, and cousins' kids are on there, too.

Then there are a whole buncha SoWallers there...

The irony of all this is that I still firmly believe that there are only 200 people in the world.
