NOTE: I HAVE MIX FEELING ABOUT THIS. ALTHOUGH, I DO FEEL IILEGALS SHOULD PAY TAXES ON ANY MONEY THEY MAKE HERE IN THE U.S.. AND FOLLOW ALL LAWS WHILE IN THE USA.
AND DID YOU KNOW THAT FEMA AND HOMELAND ARE THE SAME OFFICE AND WORK FROM THE SAME "POT"? FOOD FOR THOUGHT...

The First of May is Shopping Day!

Illegal immigrants are planning a nationwide boycott of all goods and services on Monday, May 1st. They have marched in our streets and demanded rights as a reward for breaking our country's law. They hope to show that they have an impact on our economy, they hope to hurt American business, they hope to emotionally and economically blackmail us into submission.

So what can we do? All Americans who support LEGAL immigration but demand that all immigrants RESPECT our law are asked to act on May 1st. Wear RED or BLUE that day(They will be wearing white), and go SHOPPING.

If you have to grocery shop, make it May 1st. Need gas in your car? Fill it up May 1st. Buy Mother's Day gifts, buy summer clothes, buy whatever you need, but BUY THAT DAY.

American citizens outnumber illegal immigrants, and we MUST make ourselves heard. Wear red or blue to show your pride in your country, and your opposition to weak border and amnesty legislation. And GO SHOPPING! Let's make May 1st a day to remember, and remind Congress that the illegal immigrants they cower before can't vote. We can. And we will.

The First of May is Shopping Day!

FORWARD THIS TO SHOW YOUR PRIDE IN YOUR COUNTRY!!!!!

Forward this to everyone on your email list, at work, at school, your friends, your family. We CAN make ourselves heard. We CAN remind the politicians that WE are the ones that put them in office, and that it's OUR tax dollars they're squandering. Pass the word along and make your voice heard!

this whole thing just aggravates me - i have no problem with legal citizens, it's the illegals that burn me up. it's a problem here in our area. one bedroom apartments have no joke 30-40 people living in them that only come out at night like roaches. if there is ever a fire, it's gonna be a disaster...

Ok...so, if we know that ILLEGAL immigrants will be boycotting AND wearing white...are they not labeling themselves and setting themselves up for deportation? (if caught)...:idontno:

just wondering what would happen if legals refused to sell to illegals too ? the road goes both ways ...

like the "don't buy gas on this day" farce is supposed to hurt the oil companies, i doubt that illegals not going shopping on 5/1 is going to bother anyone.
the average works out in the end. what a bunch of malarky. become naturalized or not, just be ready to face the "harsh" consequences.

that comment scares me, because if it actually makes an impact, then i can see gwb spending more money on another war that cannot be won. we have the easiest borders to get across. a 50' wall would need to be built a la escape from new york if the border was to really be secure. the cost of construction and labor of manning it would surely come from the alternative energy budget, and halliburton would be awarded a 'no bid' contract to build it.

It seems kind of dumb to me. Will enough people participate for it to really have any kind of impact?
At first glance, this Immigrant Solidarity idea does not seem to have the same ring of drama, urgency and authenticity that the Alabama bus boycott did.
And how on earth does it help for me to go out and purchase something on Monday? I dunno, being told to be a good consumer rubs me the wrong way.
On top of all this, May 1st is our wedding anniversary. Grrr. ;-)
