Is something on fire in our area again?

Go outside and lick your thumb, if the wind is blowing your way, your SOL, if not your ok. But then again you live in a concretre block house.

Sincerly,

Your neighborhood Smartass

P.s. Ask SJ nicely and he would probably run around and check for you, or you could "make" Bdarg ;-)

OK Smartass here is the deal. I'm not licking anything and going outside- I have already put a half bottle of eyedrops in my eyes.

I would make Bdarg, but his smartass has hit the couch and that is the last stop of the day for him. But since he dug a well, I figure I can just put on a gas mask and man the hose.

I would call SJ, the other neighborhood smartass, but I haven't completed the tin can and string hotline to his house yet.

Well then you're s##t out of luck aren't you?   You crack me up!!!!

Good for you, don't answer the phone either..... ;-)
phone? if it is important, they will leave a message. :cool:I don't hear the phones ring from upstairs.
Dangit. Whose gonna do the neighborhood lookout?:bang: :yikes:
I already checked the hood and saw no sign of fire, nor heard any sirens. Thinking more about the particular smell, it wasn't so much a smokey smell, as a charred smell.

Once again, your friendly neighboorhood smileyman to the rescue....

Smell smoke on Cabbage Rose Lane too. Just called the fire department to see if it's been reported and they were already around Bay Drive checking things out. I'm sure they're getting lots of calls.

Could be Black Creek (my words, not thiers) but it smells like new fire (campfire), not an old wet fire.

Don't freak.

Hey the mosquito truck just went by - let's all go out and take a big ol' wif!

When I am s**t out of luck, I might as well be laughing about it. Plus, I am constantly surrounded by good material.

Yes you are surrounded by mucho material. It's like shooting fish in a barrel, and being from KY I imagine you are fairly comfortable with that  I'm form TN so I am comfortable with it too ;-)
