On my first trip to Maine, we were at the beach, and my friend said the water was probably colder than I was used to. No worries, the beach is the beach, right? So, I get in, and she says, "Well, how is it?" I tell her I'm fine. A little while goes by, she asks if I'm still OK, then I realize the reason I'm feeling all right is because I'm numb from the waist down and can't feel anything! :funn:shakennotstirred said:I can't believe people actually get in that water. It is painful! IMO, it is like immersing yourself in a bathtub full of icecubes. And that's in the August heat.
So true, so true!
