I think I've gushed over Anderson before; he does such a great job. Hard to believe he's the spawn of Gloria Vanderbilt!
Anderson Cooper is definately my fav. And I always loved Peter Jennings.
I'm starting to get irritated that Anderson is getting parodied on some of the late night comedy shows tho. I don't really understand why. Maybe it is that he's a Vanderbilt heir? But he has the education behind his success - - it's not because of his mom at all.

Does anybody remember him from one of the very early reality shows, The Mole??

i think i may be the only person around who doesn't watch the news. if i want to be updated i check cnn.com. it has probably been 20 yrs since i have watched a morning news show !

I am with you girlfriend..I have been a working girl for over 20 years and have never been home to watch morning news shows. On those rare occassions that I have a "sick" day, I sleep in and miss them!!!!!

I watch Diane Sawyer- a class act IMHO. She has aged so gracefully- and is just plain "cool". Not to mention consistent.

Toots, I agree, I've always liked Ann. I need to have Miss Kitty expound on why she hates her, because I've heard the same sentiment from others and never understand what it is about her that people dislike so much.
I've always liked Katie, think she has a very approachable feel to her, but I've never really felt like she's an exceptional interviewer or anything; she has a great morning show personality--someone tolerable to watch when you first wake up, but not someone with a lot of depth.

I've always liked Today Show - along with every person on it. they all seem more like "real people" than the other morning shows, and lots more fun. But, I must admit, I'm with Audie - I no longer watch morning TV at all (due to my rushed get the kid out the door morning). But, I do still care about those folks after watching it for so many years before spidey, and hate to think of it changing - though change can be for the best.

Good Luck Katie!

(April 5, 12:35PM ET) -- Five things you probably didn't know about Katie Couric's likely 'Today' show replacement, Meredith Vieira:

1. Proud of her impressive hard-news background, which includes a two-year stint as one of the first female journalists on '60 Minutes,' Meredith has won six Emmy awards for her reporting. Her 1995 report on white supremacists in America brought her several awards - and the ire of some of the country's most dangerous domestic terrorists.

2. She's had three dramatic roles: Cameo appearances in 'The Stepford Wives' movie and the ABC show 'The Practice,' and the soap 'All My Children.'

3. Her husband of 19 years, noted journalist Richard M. Cohen, is legally blind -- the result of MS. "I don't see much detail," he once told USA Today. "I don't see things in the distance or anything small. I have trouble reading -- all the problems one would expect living daily with severe vision problems."

4. Her older brother, Ed, holds both a law degree and a doctorate in chemistry from Harvard and is considered one of the nation's foremost experts on the U.S. Constitution. Laws regarding America's monetary system are his specialty, and he has won three cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.

5. She's usually pantyless on 'The View.' According to IMDB, she finds wearing underwear with pantyhose redundant.
