Key Republican Uses the Bible to Calm Fears of Global Warming.

Two entirely different things here Geo. On the one hand, a scientific hypothesis must be proven before it is considered theory or law. Religion on the other hand is based entirely on faith.

But I get your point, if you can 'believe' in God, it shouldn't be much of a stretch to also 'believe' in global warming and it's consequences. Just ask Al Gore. :D

Actually you're wrong, a hypothesis is the guess made before performing experiments or tests to prove or disprove it. A theory is an educated guess based on facts at hand and while unproven in a reproducible experiment has enough weight to be generally accepted, but classified as such.

I chuckled when I read this article and thought about this thread:lol:

Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change, invoked the ancient jaguar goddess Ixchel in her opening statement to delegates gathered in Cancun, Mexico, noting that Ixchel was not only goddess of the moon, but also "the goddess of reason, creativity and weaving. May she inspire you -- because today, you are gathered in Cancun to weave together the elements of a solid response to climate change, using both reason and creativity as your tools."
