NightAngel, you should know that drugs are very available at Seaside. So I wouldn't want them hanging out there at night. A friend of mine had no clue that her teens did drugs. She happened to go check on them one evening and found them smoking marijuana that they had bought from a local.

Thankyou but I have lived in Sowal for almost 30 years so I am aware of what goes on around here and I really see no need to turn this thread to drugs just because I mentioned teenagers. Kind of took away from the whole point.

I do not think this incident means that drugs are available in Seaside. we have spent every single halloween at Seaside for many years and believe me, people of all ages are having a really good time in a really wonderful family atmosphere. not fair to make such a blanket statement about seaside or any community, imo. and certainly not accurate.

And I am sure they had never touched the stuff before arriving in Seaside.:roll: C'mon BR. You weren't born on a turnip truck. Those kids didn't have their own local supplier while on vacation, so it sounds like they did a little research and found what they were looking for.

Not to mention the irony of someone from Atlanta (the drug distribution point for the entire Southeast) worrying about kids being able to get pot in Sowal. :roll:

I know that you want to believe this, but I know teenagers who are approached in Seaside and asked if they want cigs or drugs. It's a perfect market for pushers because there are so many kids with money and whose parents let them roam around unsupervised because they think that Seaside is so pristine that their kids are in a bubble.

Not so. Not saying that my friend's kids don't do marijuana back at home, but apparently it is very easy to acquire at Seaside. Think about the packs of teens who hang out there. A perfect storm.

I am not trying to disparage Seaside. I love it. But the market for pushers is huge due to the demographics.

Sorry BR, but even my oblivious and anti-drug self knows of FAR better places to score than Seaside.

Not saying there aren't any drugs there (just like everywhere else), just that I wouldn't warn people (or teens) away from there based on a fear of it.
