Thanks local celeb - also wished happy BD to Scarlett B on the way out.

By the way SB - that was not SJ even though he claimed to be.

Yeah - my response was, No you're not! But I must admit, after you all left I was quite perplexed. So who was it?

Thanks for the birthday wish! I got my turn with the hat, too. Now I think I have cooties...

We usually go to bed early on vacation too. We are the laziest slugs. We veg out. My daughter calls us broccoli. We just lay around the pool or on the beach for the occassional dip. We do get up to fetch margaritas though.

Audie girl how are you feeling? Hope you are better.

i still have this crappy cough, can't eat or sleep.

this is my day on vacation. get up at 7, on the beach by 8 - cook in the sun until 11 or so, then cook under the umbrella all the while reading my "red hot reads". we stay out until 3:30 or 4, go have a bit of a nap (on top of the beach naps), get cleaned up, go out to eat. come back to the house, watch a little tv, in bed by 10, do it all again the next day - god i can't wait !!!

Oh my gosh! That is so what we do. Usually in for that nap by 3:00 and then get ready to go to dinner. We do try to make it back top the beach for sunset. Sounds like heaven!

Sorry about the cough and sleep deprivation. Makes my head hurt just thinking of coughing like that.

We pretty much do the same thing (especially the nap). I get up early, (around 5:30-6:00), and take my tea and scone and book to the porch or to the beach. Other than that (and getting ice cream at the Villages at South Walton Carvel Ice Cream place in the afteroon or evening and doing puzzles at the cottage) all sounds about the same. Life is indeed good.... (except for when you're sick, Audie).

Well we know we could all vacation together since we think alike. Alot of my friends come back from vacation exhausted from running. They do all the sightseeing, museums, amusement parks, mini golf, go carts, bungee jumping they can cram into a week...no thank you!

I agree. We get into our "relaxing" routines so easily and happily when at the beach (and I go to bed early, too). I figure we have several decades to explore the area so I never feel I have to do too much in any one trip. The family, friends, porch, beach, and pool (and a few restaurants and good books and a few puzzles and games with the kids) are typically all I need. I'd love to get a few bikes someday to see if we could get into biking along 30A, but haven't gotten around to it yet! And perhaps a few more walks in parks, but just haven't been motivated to get out of our very nice routine yet!
