Lightning in SoWal

New posts
I think some of the best thunder/lightening storms we saw on the road were on the way back from the Atlantic coast to Gainesville along wide open stretches of road.

We could not very well see the storms from inside our home in Gainesville because we were surrounded by massive live oaks. Oh, I do miss those.
Me, too. We always rode our bikes to Gator football games. So frequently there would be a thunderstorm after the game, so we'd sit it out in the covered area of the law school. Beautiful live oaks in that area. We'd drink from our wine skins (and make out) while waiting for the lightening to stop. I miss those days -- great times, even though we were so poor that we were on food stamps.

No way! I love that area.

BR, didn't realize you were here, we should meet for a cocktail!
I'm embarrassed to be seen because I look so ghetto due to my jet lag. They say one day of recovery per hour time difference. So that's 14 days for me. Seven to go!

My sister from Dallas is here too. Once we decide what we're doing, I'll PM you.

We didn't get one stinkin' drop!! But the temps did drop about 20 degrees.
