Mascara saved my life

Yes, I admit it. I put make up on in the car. I do not do it while moving, only while stopped at endless red lights. Today, I had to drive to Dallas for a meeting. I missed my exit, so I went to the next exit and had to wait through a couple of lights. During the last light, I was at the front of the line--yes, applying my mascara. When I finished applying, I looked up and the light was green--very green. I checked my rear view mirror to see if the peeps behind me were flipping me off for sitting at the light--all good. I began to accelerate and out of nowhere came a gravel truck going about 60 and making no attempt to stop. If I had not been applying my mascara, y'all would be mourning the loss of DD. :pissed::cuss::eek:

Oh, my goodness! So glad that good luck was with you today, and I hope it will always be with you, sweetie.

Glad your eyes were blackened by mascara instead of the alternative. :eek:

Holy crap girl! ..:eek:

Glad you're safe!

I've been known to fall asleep at long red lights................

Thanks honey. Scared the crap out of me! He was honking as he went by. I thought maybe his brakes weren't working, but I followed him and he had no problem braking to turn in the next block. He had no visible "signage". I was going to report him to his company. No such luck.

Thanks.
Falling asleep. Now that's one I haven't done. :D
Great to see you last night.

You should forward this to Jennay, she hates mascara and has no idea the safety she's giving up.

:lol::lol:Maybe she'll see it.

:freaky:

That really freaked me out! Whew....you are blessed!

DD, Miss Kitty, CoS, and others of you who live in the Dallas area, be on the lookout for my sister who lives in Dallas and whose license plate is GOGATORS. The second scariest ride of my life, with her driving down I-635 at 85 mph while she was putting on makeup. LOL -- I love you, sis. I'm sure you lurk on SoWal.

Not that anyone cares, but the scariest ride of my life was Mom driving through the curvy mountain roads from Lake Tahoe on the way to San Francisco at 85 mph when I was 17. She got pulled over by a cop, but flirted her way out of a ticket. Sis=Mom junior.

I think that'd be a smart move. Then people would arrive alive... and FABULOUS! :D

So, so glad you're ok, DD! Those close calls can really shake you up... Drive safely on your way to SoWal next week... can't wait to see you! :wub:
