Harriet. Sounds like a nasty family mess; sorry to hear about your mother's situation.

Maybe you and your mother should kidnap your aunt and force her to come down for a long visit, give her a chance to fall in love with the area like I know she would!

She Use To Live In The House That She Is Forcing My Mother To Sell. So, I Think She Isn't Capable Of Love.

1. Pay off all of our debts.
2. Stash away enough so our daughter could live a comfortable (she can pay for extravagant) life and we are assured of living out our senior years with dignity and comfort, having enough money to pay for high-quality care in case we need to be in a long-term nursing home. (My recent experience with my Mom's Alzheimer's has shocked me. I had no clue how incredibly expensive that's going to be.)
3. Make a significant donation to our church.
4. Make a significant donation to Tulane University.
5. Give enough money to UF so that the departments from which my husband and I got our Ph.D.'s would be named after us.
