Fandango - Kevin Costner, Judd Nelson. A coming of age set in the Vietnam War era. Pat Metheny Group provides the soundtrack.

The skydiving scenes with Truman, and his flying that Cessna while being chased by the helicopter were my favorite parts. That was real flying. Only faked part was when the helicopter pulled up next to him. They did it by parking the airplane on the side of a cliff and having the helicopter ride up next to it while the actor pretended to fly. Would love to know who the pilot was.

"Born to be wild......" Aww man, Will. So glad you pointed that out. Fandango is such a good movie.

How did you know that about the logistics about setting up those airplane shots?

A little known series that Boulevard 10 participates in is Turner Classic Movies on the big screen. Any New Vision Theater partcipates in this program for those of you that don't live in SoWal.

Each month they show a classic movie @ Blvd 10. Last month was Shawshank Redemption; theater was empty. Coming up in November is The Godfather, part 2.

Here is the info: TCM Big Screen Classics | Fathom Events

Always knew the flying was real. IMDB gave up the info on the helicopter part. Dallas wouldn't let them do it. They had to film those scenes in Tulsa.
