get yourself to Walmart and get a big a$$ tonka dump truck, line it with foil and put the food right in... you can still use a shovel...
Time is not on my side. I will have time to either make the food, or go to Walmart. Not both.

Like the idea, but plenty of sweets are being made, and I am not the type to bring only chips to a covered dish. I think I know what I will make, now. Thanks for all the suggestions. I hope people enjoy the food from my organic garden. I wish I had time to make my own pasta, but I will have to pass on this on today. There is nothing like eating freshly made pasta. I would press the Basil and crushed Black Pepper directly into the pasta. Yummy! Oh well, I cannot do it all today.

Oh, SJ, hope it's not too late. This would be great since you have a garden. Sometimes I add shrimp or chicken.

Summertime Pasta with Uncooked Tomato Sauce

This is too wonderful to believe, a real flavor-fest!

3 tablespoons olive oil, preferably garlic-infused

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

3/4 cup finely chopped fresh mixed herbs (such as basil and parsley)

3 medium home-grown tomatoes, chopped

1 medium yellow bell pepper, chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1-1/2 cups mozzarella, finely grated

Optional: 1/2 cup black olives, chopped

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 package of fresh pasta

Combine olive oil, vinegar, and herbs in a large bowl. Then add all ingredients except pasta, and let this sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Cook pasta, and toss with sauce.

The pasta recipe looks amazing. Do you serve it cold or hot? Shaped pasta or straight? Sorry, I don't cook much. I need all the information I can get!

Room temperature (after the pasta is cooked and mixed with the other ingredients and sits on the counter for 30 minutes) and cold (on the rare occasions that we have leftovers).

OOPS: I didn't say that right. Dyslexia is setting in. I let the ingredients sit 30 minutes, add the hot pasta, then serve.

I like it best with a shaped pasta because it mixes easier.
