too sad for words. The most horrible part is the sickness, if what the father says is true, and the sickness if what the mother says is true! It is all very sick, and I feel most sorry for the poor victim child.... and she is one, in every sense of the word....

i thought the same thing - there had to be blood, i'm sure some swelling, and definitely some pain - is the mother stupid or what ???

...or lying about her role, knowledge, what have you, in this tragedy. It absolutely sickens me. I remember my 7th grade art teacher, Mrs. Pate, had a former student come in to talk to us about his travels to Africa. He told us about female circumcision and I have never forgotten his stories. It is one of the cruelest things I can imagine. If you have a penis and are thinking about responding with something about male circumcision, don't bother. It is totally not the same, unless you were to have your entire penis lopped off at the base. That would be comparable.
