Pandora's in Grayton Caught on Fire Tonight

Call me a bad employee, but when I was a line cook, hood cleaning was a laughable chore. It was nasty, you had to use harsh chemicals, and it was never anything minimum wage could compensate...
Even if we did do a good job (and we probably half-assed it), I'm sure there will still some flammable materials stuck up there somewhere.
Owners should either clean hoods themselves or hire professionals - I personally wouldn't trust hourly employees to do it right.
That is risky business.

Panhandler, you are right. Employees are not trained in proper cleaning exhaust vents, and are not paid enough to do it. We hired professionals for that very important job, and they were well paid. It is one heck of a nasty job.

 :( ...Fire tricks just went into WC this morning...I could smell smoke.

Thanks for the update, SJ.

Article in the FWB Mullet Wrapper reported that the house that burned in Watercolor Monday morning resulted in $750,000 damage...cause was electrical fire....home was unoccupied

The house in Watercolor had just recently been completed and local residents were in the process of moving in. Lots of stuff had been moved, but luckily they weren't living there yet. This is a major blow to this lovely family.
