The owners are good guys who simply want to have their property zoned for the current and customary use over the last (how many?) years. It seems reasonable because if the building was blown down by a hurricane or severely damaged by fire, without conforming zoning, they couldn't rebuild. That would not be good for them or our community. The people of 30A, local and visitors alike, want restaurants.
