Rick Scott requiring adherance to ethics policy for transition team

Stealing Medicare money (our tax dollars) is accomplishing great things? You're delusional. And don't give us the crap that he didn't know about it. If so, he wasn't much of a CEO, was he?

Never indicted, never convicted, never questioned about the medicare thing. Just a false issue put forth by the liberal media and unions in an effort to keep a good man down.

Because him taking the 5th ammendment 70+ times while under oath is a figment of everyone's imagination?

That's the latest investigation - the one where he made most of his money and set a record for fraud was earlier and as WR points out he was never convicted (just left the company as part of the deal).

I have taken the fifth when asked about something in the past. It is another one of those pesky Constitutional rights that the liberal media seems to have a problem with.

Why did you take the Fifth? Most people take it because to answer the question would tend to incriminate themselves. In other words, there is virtually no way that taking the fifth doesn't imply that you were a part of a crime. If there is another way to see this, please explain it to me.

The company, that he was the CEO of, was indicted, and convicted (or at least settled for the biggest fraud penalty in US history). By rationalizing this away, you are pretty well blowing any credibility you think you might have had. Republicans seem to be able to rationalize anything as long as they make their money.

As someone who has also taken the fifth it doesn't always mean someone is guilty. The answer could cause you to be convicted of another crime that isn't even in question. On the other hand the answer could simply sound wrong and allow you to be convicted.

Having said that, Rick Scott is scum and that will become very apparent during his one term.

I was speaking about his professional history in general. Started off in public housing, military, private sector success, built up a fortune by building a number of very successful companies, etc.. This speaks volumes about what drives him.

A previous poster implied he was running for governor/spending his own money in an effort to reap financial gain. I think that view is misguided. His history shows he's driven by other forces.

#386: 06-26-03 LARGEST HEALTH CARE FRAUD CASE IN U.S. HISTORY SETTLED HCA INVESTIGATION NETS RECORD TOTAL OF $1.7 BILLION
