Seaside Half Marathon/5K - 3/3-5/06

Yes, some people actually care about the time. I'm always busy talking and yelling for the people I know in the race.

I think you SoWallwers should wear a SoWal sticker on the front so I will know you - Catfish may be with me for a while along with leeleefunn.

Jfunn, is tbone running? And does Bettis get to go?

I waited too late to register - no clue that there was a max. I'll just run/walk my own 5K on 30A in the AM ... in the other direction since I'm not registered. :(

BTW if you want to run the Peachtree, the entry form will be in the AJC on 3/19, but you can get early editions of the paper on 3/18. I definitely plan to run that one.

Is that because there is a max of street available? Is this a fundraiser? Can you check and see if someone drops out or just doesn't show? Take some pics!

I guess so. Let's see -- the four-laned Peachtree Road can accommodate 55,000 and the two-laned 30-A can accommodate 500. I guess it's a matter of volunteers and infrastructure. Dunno.:idontno:

OOPS! I was bad and slept in, so no race pix. It's beautiful down here - not a cloud in the sky, a bit cool for my tastes, but beautiful. I've gotten caught up on my work this AM while enjoying the view and hearing the birds chirp.

That's not bad, that's good! I bet SJ will have pics.

What are the temps like? I'm headed down next weekend and can't decide what to pack! It's beautiful here in the ATL burbs today! BLUE skies and temps are going to be low 60's. Not as warm as yesterday but beautiful.

Last night it got down to 46, but right now it's 65 and sunny - can't get much better than that in early March!:D The forecast for next weekend is 70's, 30% chance of isolated T-storms Friday, AM clouds/PM sun on Saturday, and mostly sunny Sunday. Double :D .

no photos - my camera is not working so well, and I am going to have to get a new one soon. It has served me well, and I have gotten my money's worth out of it.

Saw Jfunn and met WhiteyFunn and Seagrover. I think the Funns spike the water at their station :floor:.
