Someone was caught falsifying vouchers (aka stealing money from taxpayers) and was asked to resign.

As long as we don't end up paying them benefits and tons of "severance" pay because they resigned instead of being fired I am definitely okay with that.

And obviously I support the Sheriff getting rid of people on his staff who are lying and stealing. :roll:

Please use verifiable sources- it will legitimize your story if it is truly legitimate and not just gossip. I have no reason to believe an anonymous poster without a verifiable source.

If all of them were fired who stole and lied then we would not have sheriffs dept.

This is not only ridiculous and untrue but casts a totally false and unthinking barb at a sheriff's department that is in every sense so far and above what we had previously that it defies description.
I am a former government employee and I worked diligently and hard at what I did for the state of Oklahoma for 16 years. I never filed a false travel voucher or stole one red cent from the taxpayers nor did anyone with whom I was acquainted do so. There are crooks everywhere but to paint an important piece of our local government with such a broad brush is irresponsible, ludicrous and totally without merit.

My understanding of the situation was that she filed incorrect paperwork and was reassigned as the Sheriff holds his direct reports to an even higher standard. Despite that she chose to resign on her own accord due to malicious gossip such as the previous drive by posters wish to spread.

Of course that holds as much water as the original post since I don't have a "source".

It is disturbing that so many of the Sheriff's Dept. "inner circle" have had ethics problems. Even Ralphies bunch did not have this many "lapses." It is great that the Sheriff seems to be disciplining these people when the problems occur but so many is such a short time does call to question the judgement used to select them in the first place.
