I understood the intent from the first post, it was just a little short on details for me but I understood them wanting to protect the identity of the victim as well.

Not sure about the victim, but the area is safe as long as you are heavily armed and avoid it during daylight hours and after dark.

In all seriousness, I hope the victim is recovering well. The "area" which is just north of Gulf Place is safe.

This post and all this discussion would most likely not be in existence if the alleged attackers were not ex-law enforcement.

I really feel that the responding officer has some questions they are accountable for...

I saw the picture and I know the business owner personally. She was beaten/ambushed by a disgruntled former employee and her husband. She had to have multiple stitches in her mouth and lips, and her face/eye is black and blue. The attacker also stole items from the store and was seen leaving with them. Why weren't these people arrested???? If you can't turn to the police in times like this, who do you turn to? I do not feel safe with these people still on the street.

I know both theses ladies... Kindall, the owner of the salon, was in her rights to let go of her employee and all client information is the property of the owner of the salon. This vicious attack by Marguite Diaz Breck and her husband must be investigated and the duo held accountable and prosecuted. We are not safe if this couple is allowed to still walk the streets and beaches of Santa Rosa. a sad comment is this couple has school age children... What a horrid example these parents are portraying....

With WCSO, if the SOP (standard operating procedure) for investigating this type of crime states "officer discretion" that is code for "do nothing" which in this situation appears to be the decision at this time.

The one thing I've always appreciated about SoWal is that newcomers are welcomed without prejudice. Now that we know what the Brecks are capable of I believe it is important to withdraw the welcome mat. They are not the type of people that we want to live in our community. And if you doubt their culpability, just take a look at Kindal's picture once more.
