SoWell on Sowal

New posts
What a great start to what was supposed to be a healthy week:

about 50 crackers with 3 different kinds of sliced cheese
pasta w/marinara and Italian sausage (2 platefuls)
a tiny bit of salad (for looks)
3 fat pieces of french bread
1 piece tiramisu
1 piece chocolate cake
1 glass red wine

plus picked at what Kate didn't finished:blush:

I am a P.I.G. Pig!!! I'm hoping that maybe I have a tapeworm because I am starving all of the time lately!

only one glass of wine? what a waste.

you are just a high energy gal especially these days with so much to do with the house, moving, etc...

DD: you lost one pound since last week, or overall? how are we going to report our results so we are consistent. maybe: 1 lb lost this week, 5 total. something like that?

Yes, 1 lb. last week. 11 all together. Sorry...

Wow DD. How long did it take to lose 11 lbs. Congrats. I'm down about 3 since starting on SoWell on SoWal about a week ago (of course, some of that was vacation weight which tends to go away pretty quickly with a little effort). Going for about 7 more by the end of October (more effort needed for that), and then keep going about 10 more after that (significant long-term life style changes needed for that).

My biggest changes since starting on SoWell on SoWal are (1) no wine with dinner and no alcohol, though I'd certainly enjoy a glass or two with company; (2) healthy, light breakfast (e.g., egg on dry toast; my muffins from Oprah's old cook Rosie that are tasty and healthy; (3) not having seconds at dinner and eating more vegetables at dinner. I'm also calorie counting somewhat as well - 300 calories before lunch, 300 - 500 lunch to dinner; and 400 - 600 dinner and later.

What did you do, DD?

What did you do, DD?

Well, so far, I've just been trying to keep the fat grams under 30 per day. Lots of fruit and some veggies. I'm finding that as I have gotten older, I just really don't care for veggies that much and truthfully, I'm pretty sick of salad!! And exercising some...emphasis on SOME. Just mainly walking the dog. As Toots and others have said, I can tell more in the way my clothes fit than anything. Joined WW online, but haven't had an opportunity to really read through it all--there's A LOT of info there!
I'll say one thing though....that gorgonzola sauce sounds pretty dang good right now!!
I'm in a funk today, so I could eat just about anything and not really care. I've need an attitude adjustment!!

I did not weigh today. I am NOT going to weigh today. I feel all bloated and terrible. Massive amounts of beer will do that to you. I might weigh next Monday. I am very proud of the rest you. Go Girls!!!! :clap_1:

DD - you've done a great job!!! on the gorgonzola sauce - it is very high fat which is why it is so good. but, it's also pretty rich so I usually have the pasta as a side to grilled Italian chicken. the chicken is so yummy dipped in that sauce... still not exactly diet food, but okay as a reward now and then..

11 pounds! you continue to inspire... :clap_1:

I think this sauce will definitely be at the top of my reward list, on the middle of the list and the last thing on the list!! Can't wait to try it!
Ahem.....I must put this out of my mind for now though!! Gotta get back to posting goals and daily results. That system seems to keep me more on track. If I don't post the goals, then I have no "documentation"!

Thanks for your continued kind words!!
