Teenage Halloween Party

New posts
Food is my specialty. Don't worry about what teen girls eat. They don't eat anything because it's politically incorrect to be above a size 2. Get them those little carrots in a package and some Marie's Low-Fat Ranch Dressing.

The boys always INSIST on my "Easy Mexican Dip" at every party that my daughter has. Some of her male friends are totally obsessed with it, so I have to keep the ingredients on hand in case they stop by. It's embarrassingly easy.

Easy Mexican Dip

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 can of chili, preferably Old El Paso
1 to 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 green onions, chopped

Spread cream cheese in bottom of pie plate. Pour chili on top. Sprinkle with cheese and garnish with green onions. Bake at 350 degrees until bubbly, about 20 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips.

Thanks for the great Mexican dip recipe. I have made it before but not in a long while. I forget that OTHERS would like it even if my son wouldn't touch it! What I am really concerned about are the girls and I will do the carrots and lo-fat ranch dressing. (Marie's is good, too.)
Thanks for the ideas!

How uncool that costumes aren't cool. When they get to college they'll realize how uncool they were when they thought they were cool at 14-16.

That's exactly what I thought too! Some of the wildest & most fun parites I've ever been to were Halloween costume parties!!! They're still a little inhibited yet in that area. I mean, we've got the works for decorations, scarey dvd's (The Shining, The Thing, nothing too splattery) even Oldfield's "Tubular Bells" from The Exorist. (He's into music, big time.) But no costumes, oh well...

Sounds like they need a kick in the jack'0'lantern. :creepy:

My son looked over my shoulder while I was looking at the litter box cake recipe and he loved the idea!!! Said that would be sooooooo cool!! So, I guess I'll be going to Petsmart soon!

Even if no one eats it, it's a great conversation starter! We had fun making it last year and it turned out just like the one in the picture.

You can't go wrong with the dips and chips recommended by Bsmart and Beachrunner. Add pizza and you have got a party. Can't believe no costumes!! Kids are so creative, I love to see my grandaughter and her friends put together their costumes. It's better than anything you see on t.v. and they think and work of each other. Sorry you are going to miss that part. Anyway from a Grandmother that has 2 to 20 teenagers passing thru her kitchen at any given time you can't go wrong with the about teenager comfort food. Don't forget to add chocolate chip cookies. Know you party will be a success. :clap_1:

OMG that cake was just too much! :puke:

(I'm sure it tastes fine but I don't know if I could get past the looks of it!)

And everyone thought the you-know-what cake was bad!
