OMG that cake was just too much! :puke:

(I'm sure it tastes fine but I don't know if I could get past the looks of it!)

And everyone thought the you-know-what cake was bad!
Yeah, I'm afraid that it might turn too many stomachs. I think I'll make the choc. chip cookies that Sarahj suggested - - great idea! Thanks so everyone!

Have a great party! BR's recipe sounds delicious!!!

You can't go wrong with the dips and chips recommended by Bsmart and Beachrunner. Add pizza and you have got a party. Can't believe no costumes!! Kids are so creative, I love to see my grandaughter and her friends put together their costumes. It's better than anything you see on t.v. and they think and work of each other. Sorry you are going to miss that part. Anyway from a Grandmother that has 2 to 20 teenagers passing thru her kitchen at any given time you can't go wrong with the about teenager comfort food. Don't forget to add chocolate chip cookies. Know you party will be a success. :clap_1:
Or brownies!

Johnrudy, the 14-16 year olds aren't into costumes because they think it's babyish. But somewhere around the senior year in high school, they get interested in costumes again. And in college it's a HUGE event. At Georgia Tech the kids I know plan elaborate costumes well in advance of Halloween and spend a bunch of money and/or time on them.

If you're in Atlanta (I don't know if they're in other cities), check out the costumes at Junkman's Daughter. They have an unbelievable collection of costumes, not the Wal-Mart type made of thin polyester fabric, but actual garments. You can find anything, from Dorothy of The Wizard of Oz, to a costume that resembles part of a male's anatomy. Gross!

So right you are. He acted insulted when I asked if they were wearing costumes. They're just not there yet. The girls will have their hair straight-ironed, wear their little "shrugs" and low-cut jeans. And I know they'll all end up back inside because it will be COLD here (we have heat on already) and none of the girls will wear jackets!!!

We're doing pigs in blankets and chocolate fondue (w/fruits, pretzels, animal crackers ...) The girls love doing the fondue! Smaller party though. And the girls in this group are not size 2. And they like to eat. And I think they're pretty normal teenagers. Will have some baby carrots/dressing for them too, but I can guarantee you that won't be what they eat the most! They love the fondue.

Have a great party!

How could it get any easier either! Guess you could challenge yourself and add a little cheese in them!

That's what I take to teacher appreciation breakfasts. Bunches of them and they are always gone quickly!

Not to sound weird, but I've never made pigs in a blanket. Do you just wrap those little mini hot dogs in a canned biscuit and bake? They kind of sound like they might be kinda dry.
