Update on Daddy

New posts
Lynne, I'm so sorry to hear about your father. We lost our Daddy three weeks ago, and it's been very hard. It's good that you have your family there with you, and that you can all help each other through this.
Sending thoughts and prayers your way from Kentucky.. edited to add: err, guess I don't have to send them that far, huh?

Amy

PS - Thank you for the beautiful poem, Paula, also.. it makes me cry but it's a good cry.

Amy, I am very sorry for your loss. Sending hugs to you and your family.

My dear Sowal friends. You are the best. You are all so kind. I'm keeping you! I loved the poem, thank you  and Amylouky, I am so sorry for the loss of your daddy. May you feel God with you everyday. I hope you begin feeling better soon. (Please check your PM's)

When I finished my last post about Daddy I went right back to his house because I couldn't sleep. I am so very grateful that I did. He slipped into a semi-conscious state right after that. We called my brother and sisters right away and spent the next 24 hours at his side, we were either touching him or holding each other. It was extemely hard at times and yet I felt blessed to show him how very loved he was. He passed quietly this morning with all of us surrounding him while his favorite music was playing softly.

Now the hard part, liiving in a world without him. Hope I stop crying soon, I am a sight. (I scared the nieghbors cat) We have funeral plans to make and are waiting for some out of town family to arrive. My house is a wreck since I've been with Daddy all week. I best get things ready here. I'll need more tissues and chocolate. I will check in when I can. Thanks again for everything.

Hey Lynne- I'm so glad you were with him, and he is too. It is tough to ponder life without a Dad, especially when you have blessed with a good one. It will make you treasure all the wonderful things people say about him in the next few days at the visitation and funeral. I remember every single word from my dad's friends and business associates, and you will too.

I'll bring you tissues and chocolate when you need 'em.

Lynne,

I hope you feel all the love coming your way. What an honor to your Dad, for your family to surround him with the love and grace of your love and respect. I know with my heart and soul he knew that the people that meant the most were there, when it mattered the most.

God bless you and your family! Your wonderful Father has passed to the other side, which is a much better place and I know he is preparing a place for you when you reach that day. Just like always he is taking care of you! My family is going through so much such as you! You are in my thoughts and prayers.
