Wal-Mart and homeland security- you can't make this stuff up

New posts
I am not basing my negative categorization on stereotyping, I am basing it on life experiences. Every time I end up going to a Walmart for whatever reason, by the time I checkout I am in a bad mood. That bad mood is the culmination of dealing with the other customers/employees. Being human, I am allowed to have an opinion and my opinion is that Walmart seems to consistently have a much higher then normal ratio of idiots/normal people then just about any other store I have ever visited. I just straight up don't like going into the place, regardless of their other questionable business practices. I don't have the same consistently negative experiences when I shop elsewhere, such as Target.

With Walmart customers not being the brightest to begin with, I see this being implemented with racial profiling as the only component.

I suppose this does not include you? Right? I mean you obviously shop their on occasion based on the below post.

Then don't shop there.

I believe we already have a thread about how those of us who shop at Walmart are unintelligent, ignorant, idiots, and a host of other adjectives used to describe us. I will be sure and tell my father and step-mom who are living on Social Security not to shop where they can afford to buy food because God forbid you will be called all these wonderful names.

IMHO profiling is wrong on any level and that includes profiling those of us who shop at Walmart. You can disagree with something, but the name calling and such is very unbecoming. So, I guess I probably am not someone most of you would want to hang with because guess what? I am getting ready to make a Walmart trip. I will be sure to make sure my pants are pulled up and you can't see my butt crack!

I love you.

You stick with that Lite beer and it will not be an issue. Trust me, after a trip to Dallas over Thanksgiving that included stops at Barney's of New York, Saks and Nieman Marcus, I can say with confidence that there is social pathology on display at stores irregardless of the price points.

I'll see you on the beer aisle at our handy dandy, sure to utilized by all, under construction SOWAL-Mart:wave:

Would someone who lives in SoWal please list all the places to shop where only US made products are sold. When I was there Thanksgiving week I went to only locally owned businesses an only saw items made in Vietnam, China, Tiwan, Bangladesh & points East......far East.

I know all the elitist jerks that live in the area & post on this forum hope all the "little people" are happy.:sarc:

Does this mean that now the color of the happy face ball, depending on Homeland Security's national threat level, will be changed accordingly; orange for high threat?

What's next, body scanners?

But, what really irks me is that they are profiling already by suggesting in the article that families congregate at Walmart. Seriously, who goes to get groceries and such and socializes? You want to get in and out as quickly as possible, especially if you have a family at home. I suppose they may be guessing the conversation revolves around butt spackle based on this thread. :sarc:

I know we get off on tangents around here, but the thread was about national security at Walmart, not your opinion on the profiling of it's clientele. We all know where some of you stand in regards to Walmart.

If you are so stupid as to not notice what is going on around you, whether its Walmart, Target, Publix or Modica's market, I feel sorry for you. But then, I am the type that looks for a terrorist around every corner. Yeah, right. There is nothing wrong with being vigilant anywhere.

Lot's of people go to Wal-Mart to socialize. They've convinced their kids it's a fun place to have a great time. Apparently it's like a low rent Disney World for some people. That's my biggest complaint about the place. Some gang of idiots is always blocking passage while standing around BSing with their pants down around their knees.

In SoWal this type of procedure would not be affective nor in other areas of the country because you will not get a majority of the populace shopping in Wal-Mart.

But believe me in rural America, it will be. Many crack heads in rural areas have been arrested based on what they purchase at Wal-Mart which is the very reason you can't buy sudafed anymore off the counter.

So yes in my Mother's area and even my daughter's, who shops at Wal-Mart could be a very effective way to monitor homeland security.

All they are asking is for customers to be alert for suspicious activity and as Andy said surely everyone does that anyway.

For some Wal-mart is where they would come in contact with the most people.

Walmart doesn't kill american jobs, americans do.. by shopping at Walmart.

Perhaps that is partly true, but you could say the same about shopping at any store that doesn't sell 100% goods produced here in the USA. Personally, I cannot think of any retailers that fit that bill, though I'm sure there are a few.

Here is an idea for those of you who think that corporate taxes don't affect businesses in the USA, eliminate those taxes and see what happens. :idontno:
