So the government forces us to shut our doors for covid
Then they offer to make a percentage payment to retain each employee to pay them for the time they were forced to take off. Key word being employee
You pay that money to the employee so the employee can survive
Companies like mine do not pay people not to work
Let me know how this fits your criteria at all
Let me know how this is even remotely comparable to paying off loans that people personally took out
How would you handle kids that didn't go to college because they didn't want to or couldn't take on the debt?
How about kids that went right to work?
Or the thousand other scenarios that make this a terrible idea

Next your gonna tell me reparations would be a good idea
Or that we America stole this land
Or any of the other left leaning silly ideas
The government faced an unprecedented viral pandemic in a society that moves around like none other in history. I was not forced to do anything. Just like your business mine was exempt. Many were not exempt because of the close contact between customers. It was bad for the economy but the lives it saved justified the temporary shut downs for those most vulnerable. I think many of the shut downs began with DJT.

You keep saying forced. Were you forced to do anything like take the money from the government or to stop working? Especially because you say that you do not pay employees to not work I am wondering if you took the money from the government.

Student loans were given to help students get an education. Education helps the students get jobs. Education is therefore a job creator. Corporations are called job creators and get all sorts of welfare from reduced impact fees to tax benefits. You should know this.

Young people who do not go to college generally do go right to work or live off someone else. Those who are motivated to work and lost work because of the temporary shut downs got help from the government. It was handled.

I do not think reparations is practical but I do understand the discussion. America took land from Native Americans. I think we should own our faults, listen and find functional solutions. Your "left leaning" statement is worse than silly. It borders inhuman. I really hope you figure that out one day before you cross that border...

The same anti-socialist people who “don’t pay employees not to work” sure didn’t mind the government stepping up to pay their employees not to work while grifting 75% of that money.
This is also the same anti-affirmative action crowd that loves the favorite Republican affirmative action program known as the electoral college and totally fair legacy admissions.

I use to think of them as hypocrites and anti-socialist but they are becoming anti-everyone but themselves...

THE INSANITY CONTINUES! PLEASE SAVE THE AMERICA TRUMP CLAIMS,

“IS BEING DESTROYED BOTH INSIDE & OUT. DO THE PEOPLE OF THIS ONCE GREAT NATION EVEN HAVE A CHOICE BUT TO PROTEST THE POTENTIAL DOOM OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA??? 2024!!!”

Private sector companies added 497,000 jobs in June, more than double expectations, ADP says

Yes please save us from diminished capacity old man who has overseen a U.S. economy that is rebounding from the pandemic faster than the rest of the developed world; almost $100 billion invested in domestic manufacturing jobs in 2023; inflation rates plummeting from the 9% range to around 4.0%, and a 3.7% unemployment rate that is the lowest since the 1960s.
END THE NIGHTMARE!
Keep drinking the kool aide
