What I seem to gather from this statement is that the Right is just really gullible or really bad at arithmetic. Donald Trump was the only president in history that never had an approval rating above 50%. He averaged around 38%, so why would it be a shock that he wasn't re-elected? He also purposely downplayed the pandemic (by his own words) and led to 100,000 of Americans dying needlessly. Why would it be a shock that he wasn't re-elected? He lost the popular vote in 2016 by 3 million votes. Why would it be a shock that he wasn't re-elected? He was impeached for attempting to extort a foreign government, and refused to provide any documents nor any witnesses to the Senate trial. Why would it be a shock he wasn't re-elected? He added 5 Trillion Dollars to the national debt. Why would it be a shock that he wasn't re-elected. He was caught telling over 20,000 lies... It's pretty obvious to a majority of this country that he is both a terrible person and a terrible president. He was defeated in a fair election, and if you can't accept that, maybe you are a member of a cult.
