I do not believe you have this correct
The federal AG is the chief law enforcement officer at the federal and state level
The state AG (directly from your link)
State attorneys general represent their states in litigation, oversee state prosecutors, and advise members of their states' executive branches on legal matters. State attorneys general may be nominated or elected.
They are more of the lawyer for the state not law enforcement
They work in unison but not together at the state level
Do you think my interpretation is correct?
Truth be told I thought they were completely separate entities where the cops were under the state AG
