I'm in a similar situation being retired. I don't consider the social distancing to be a big stressor in my life. A bigger stressor is that in the course of this pandemic I've learned things about the character of many of the people in this area which has caused me to become misanthropic.I have eaten at three restaurants in the last couple of weeks. Left some others because of lack preventative measures. First one we sat outside away from others, the second and third they had spaced diners far apart and all employees in all three wore masks. I felt uncomfortable on the dining room experience so not sure I will be eating inside in the future, may just do take out or patronize those with outdoor seating. I wear a mask all other times I’m out and will just go back to self quarantine if cases increase in our area. Being retired I have that luxury and realize many can’t afford to.
Has always been the case.

Get where you’re coming from. The wife and I were at the grocery self checkout yesterday when a lady asked if we were locals and had a members card we would scan for her purchase. I told the wife she knew were locals because we wore masks to guard against the tourists like her who wore none. My guess is less than five percent of shoppers wore masks.I'm in a similar situation being retired. I don't consider the social distancing to be a big stressor in my life. I'm tired all the time after all this stress and anxiety. All I want to do is stay home going out only when I have to. I'm at the point now where I don't know if it is because of recent events or if I've always wanted to be at home but was forced to work and socialize and face people. I don't know if I'll ever go back to the way I was. Social media isn't helping it is making it worse I fear but I can't stop. And I'm afraid to travel which used to be a relief. Can't go visit family either. Anyone else feel this way and how are you coping?
I went to Craft Bar Destin last Monday. While they had removed some tables, the bar was shoulder to shoulder. The real problem is outside. With restaurants at fifty percent capacity the waiting line becomes a large crowd with zero distancing. I actually feel sorry for the restauranteurs and employees caught in this no win situation. There is a list of restaurants (so far 111) which have had FL State Covid complaints filed against them in an article on the Pensacola News site. A quick scan showed a few from our area; Craft Bar in Miramar, Local Catch & Blue Mabel. Lack of distancing between tables, no masks etc. Wonder if there will be more serious attention/consequences given to these types of reports now that DeSantis & Scott have admitted that Florida is out of control? We are seeing 5-9 more cases each day this past week in 32459 zip code. Also rising are the "out of state" number which we don't know where in Walton County these people contracted the virus, or if they have now gone home.
