What this Congress Did, Inspite of the Party of No

New posts
Actually Bernard Madoff was virtually unregulated.

Nothing has changed at the SEC since Obama took office aside from some personel changes.

Credit Card reform was passed under the 111th Congress and signed into law by Obama, deal with it.

About the only thing out of this congress of any worth.

Wait. The credit card legislation was presented / proposed under the 110th Congress and advocated by President Bush in late 2008. .

Speaking as an independent who didn't vote for Bush (or the idiots that the Democrats ran against him), I don't think of his support for something as a positive thing. His administration and the Republican Congress he had for a portion of it were an unmitigated disaster (Patriot Act, No Child Too Far Ahead, Welfare for big Pharma, etc...)

One would expect the current Administration and Congress to look better by comparison. Surprisingly, they don't. I'd rate the current Congress and Administration as just as bad as their predecessors and that list of disasters in the opening video provide pretty good documentation of it.

I agree. I also think the credit card companies had much time. The antics they pulled during that approximate 12 month period is hideous.
