What's your theme song?

Rolling Stones' "You Can't Always Get What You Want." The minister of music already knows I want that played at my funeral, complete with choir (hopefully 45 years away since I plan to live until 100 because after then the wrinkles get way too disgusting). They don't allow secular music in our church, but I play in the church string ensemble, so I get special privileges. LOLOL.

Fer shizzle.

Oh my gosh...you are 28. What a baby! Congratulations on 10 years. :clap_1: Good wishes for many more to come!

Thanks Steele Mama! We figure if we take care of ourselves we could one day be celebrating our 80th anniversary. That would be something!

Hunka Hunka Burnin' Love :clap_1:

I loved this one.. My cousin and I made up a dance when we were in 2nd grade to this one and performed in front of all our parents, uncles and aunts! I still remember the dance today!!!! :floor:

My dad always sang "The Snake Song" to us when we were kids. He'd play his guitar and go through the whole thing. Do you know the one? "On her way to work one morning, down the path along side of the lake, a tender hearted woman found a poor half frozen snake..."

My mother sang "You are My Sunshine" too. :-) I loved singing it to my babies too.

What about Black Water by the Doobie Brothers???? Remember?

Well, I built me a raft and she's ready for floatin'
ol' Mississippi, she's callin' my name
Catfish are jumpin' that paddle wheel thumpin'
Black water keeps rollin' on past just the same

Old black water, keep on rollin'
Mississippi moon won't you keep on shinin' on me?
Old black water, keep on rollin'
Mississippi moon won't you keep on shinin' on me?
Old black water, keep on rollin'
Mississippi moon won't you keep on shinin' on me?
Yeah, keep on shinin' your light, gonna make every thing
Pretty mama, gonna make everything all right
And I ain't got no worries 'cause I ain't in no hurry at all

Well, if it rains, I don't care, don't make no difference to me
Just take that street car that's goin' up town
Yeah, I'd like to hear some funky Dixieland and dance a honky tonk,
and I'll be buyin' everybody drinks all round

CHORUS, followed by guitar/fiddle solos, then:

I'd like to hear some funky Dixieland, pretty momma come and take me
by the hand, by the hand, take me by the hand,
(I want to honky-tonk) (honky-tonk)
pretty momma, come and dance with your daddy all night long,
I'd like to... (honky-tonk) (with you all night long)
Oh Black Water Keep on shining

I always sang songs to my kids when they were babies..... I wonder if they remember? They were sooo young when I did that.

I STILL sing songs to my babies (23 and 20 1/2 and 5 1/2 months). Can't really carry a tune and make up most of my own lyrics, but that is not the point! SING YOUR HEART OUT...cause you can't get too sad when singing' a happy song!

I always ask people, "if you were a Major League baseball player, what song would you have play when you walked up to the plate?"

At the moment "Hey Ya" comes to mind.

That's cute! BTW..."Hey Ya'" was my theme song (I tend to get obsessed) back in 2004! If you sit still listening to that song, YOU ARE DEAD!
