Bet it was more like 140 degrees IN the car! It was a hot one yesterday! Whereabouts are you? :welcome:

Seems like when the June grass starts coming heavier, the minnows and crabs must head for deeper water or something. Those things are noticeably absent right now.
Go to Okaloosa Island if you want to see some wildlife. I read they had a huge pile of dead bait fish wash up the past few days.

Yeah, it's only 92 degrees here, a veritable cold front. But we DO have a breeze, albeit a hot one.

Magnolia, Texas is beautiful. We drive through on our way to Bryan, College Station from SoWal. Lots of wildlife here. I just saw an ospry fly over my house at sunset. Lots of baby snow plovers around. Blue Jays are still taking care of their babies in the nest. Just saw one yesterday hop out of the nest. Try going to one of state parks SoWal is blessed with and sit and be still. You'll see lots of wildlife. Blue herons are around the coastal dune lakes in my neighborhood. Saw seagulls. Lots of Brown Pelicans flying overhead in groups up to 20. This bird was endangered at one time. Saw a green heron nest a few weeks ago with several juveniles just waiting t to get out on their own. Turtle nests are getting ready to hatch. Witnessed a Turtle Watch check on the hatching of one of the nests at Deer Lake. Believe over 115 empty shells were counted. Only two eggs did not hatch. They were collected by official Turtle Watch folks to take in to confirm whether it was a Kemp Ridley or what. Remember, do not use a flashlight at night unless it is covered with a red cover. Turn off your beach lights and dock lights at night.
